Composite Aluminum and Wood Construction
The H Awning window's aluminum and wood composite construction forms an extremely rigid frame allowing the projected awning window to meet the highest structural performance ratings in the industry. Combining the durability of extruded aluminum with the allure and thermal efficiency of wood maximizes each material's inherent properties for long lasting performance and beauty.

The H Hinge
Designed in Norway in 1959, the H Hinge allows a window to flip a full 180º for easy cleaning and maintenance. The hinge is perfectly balanced at the sash's center point allowing for smooth and controlled rotation. The robust hinge can support large windows up to 25 square feet and 250 lbs. It's been cycle tested up to 70,000 operations without failure.

Interior Finish Options
Available in a variety of hardwood, softwood, and bamboo species including the option for Forest Stewardship Council© certified materials. Species include: Alder, Ash, Bamboo, Brazilian Cherry, Cedar, Cherry, Douglas Fir, Hickory, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Walnut, White Pine.

All wood materials are kiln dried and preservative treated to prevent deterioration. Applied prior to assembly, our three-coat factory finish options include standard and custom paints, stains, and clearcoats.

Powder Coating, our most common finish, is highly durable in all environments. Select from our stock colors or custom colors

Hardware Options

The Push-bar operator achieves Grade-40 forced entry rating – the industry's highest security rating. It allows the venting angle position to be locked in place.
The Encore Roto-Crank is a streamlined full-flip folding handle that will not collapse during operation. Allows the venting angle position to be locked in place.
Lever Handle - Simple lever handle ensures sash is tightly sealed.
4Custodial handle available for installations where operability is controlled by facility managers.

Sizing Guidelines
Window openings less than or equal to 25 ft² are easily achievable. However, if you'd like your window opening to exceed this contact H Window to discuss.

Frame Configurations
The H Awning Window is designed to be easily combined into field mulled arrangements with other H Window door and window products.

Insect Screens
Our thoughtful design innovations eliminate mosquitos and maintenance! Extruded aluminum frames with staked corner keys are more robust than typical roll-form aluminum screen frames. Screens are securely attached to the window frame with ABS latch clips to allow easy removal. Clear Advantage™ fiberglass screens provide more visibility and ventilation without sacrificing strength or durability. Other fabric options include aluminum mesh, pet resistant, extra strength, small insect, and sun protection.

Accessory Options
Design versatility of the H Awning Window is amplified with customizable accessories including divided lites, extension jambs, and sash limiters.
