Do not begin installation until openings and substrates have been properly prepared. B. Verify rough opening size is of sufficient size to receive window unit and complies with manufacturer's requirements for opening clearances. Verify that sill plate is level. C. If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding. 3.2 PREPARATION A. Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation. B. Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions. 3.3 INSTALLATION A. Install window unit in accordance with manufacturer's printed instructions including the following: 1. Apply sealant around perimeter of window unit between nail fin and exterior sheathing of wall.
