PAC-CLAD Precision Series architectural wall panels provide design flexibility by combining bold visual effects with easy, cost-effective installation. Multiple profiles are available with a variety of rib patterns. Options for each profile include a no-clip panel, or a clip-fastened panel to accommodate expansion and contraction. The original Precision Series HWP profile features a 7/8 inch depth, while the Precision Series Highline profiles are 1-3/8 inches deep, and can be intermixed to add visual intensity to a building's exterior. Precision Series wall panels can be installed horizontally or vertically. PAC-CLAD series of Composite Wall panel systems provide unmatched performance and stunning visual effects for any commercial or retail application.

DESIGN / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Design Requirements for Wall Systems:
System Design: Metal wall system as designed by the manufacturer shall be a complete system. All components of the system shall be supplied by the same manufacturer.
Wall Panels: Wall panels shall be designed in accordance with the local building code using the Manufacturer's published Load Tables from tests in accordance with ASTM E 1592.
Design Loads: Design load application shall be in accordance with local building code.
Wind Loads: Design wind loads shall be based on the wind criteria in accordance with local building code.
Deflection: Deflection requirements shall be in accordance with the applicable building code, or as a minimum, L/180 for wind load (but not less than 10 psf (49 kg/sq m).
Accessories and Fasteners: Accessories and fasteners shall be capable of resisting the specified design wind suction forces in accordance with local building code.
SUBMITTALS
Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
Preparation instructions and recommendations.
Material type, metal thickness and finish.
Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
Installation methods.
Shop Drawings:
Show elevations, and plans of wall panels, including sections and details, anticipated loads, flashings, roof curbs, vents, sealants, interfaces with all materials not supplied and proposed identification of component parts and their finishes.
Submit complete shop drawings and erection details to Architect for review. Do not proceed with manufacture prior to review and approval of shop drawings. Do not use drawings prepared by Architect for shop or erection drawings.

LEED Submittals: Provide documentation of how the requirements of Credit will be met:
List of proposed materials with recycled content. Indicate post-consumer recycled content and pre-consumer recycled content for each product having recycled content.

List of proposed materials with rapidly renewing content. Indicate rapidly renewing content percentage for each product having rapidly renewing content.

Closeout Submittals: Provide manufacturer's maintenance instructions that include recommendations for periodic checking and adjustment and periodic cleaning and maintenance of all components.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing metal panels with a minimum documented experience of ten years.
Installer Qualifications: Company specializing in installation of the products specified for projects of similar size and scope with minimum five years documented experience.

When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.

Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.

DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
Deliver panels to job site properly packaged to provide protection against transportation damage.
Exercise extreme care in unloading, storing, and erecting panels to prevent bending, warping, twisting, end and surface damage.
Store products above ground on well skidded platforms in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
Store inside or under breathable waterproof covering. Provide proper ventilation to panels to prevent condensation buildup between each panel. Elevate one end of bundles while being stored.
SEQUENCING
Ensure that locating templates and other information required for installation of products of this section are furnished to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

ACCESSORlES
** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include the following accessories as required for the project. Delete if not required.
Metal Components:
Provide accessories and other items essential to a complete roof or wall panel installation including panel clips, trim, closures, fascia, soffits, caps and similar metal components.
Metal components fabricated from same gauge and finish as metal panels, unless otherwise noted.
Flashing: Provide the same gauge and finish as the exterior panel, unless otherwise noted.
Fasteners:
Exposed fasteners shall be hex head self-drilling screws with bonded washers and color to match panels. Screws may be either plated steel or stainless steel as noted on the Drawings.
Closure Strips: EPDM rubber to match configuration of the covering.
Sealants:
Exposed Sealants: One component silicone based as recommended by panel manufacturer: field applied.
Concealed Sealants: Non-curing, non-skinning butyl, polyisobutylene or polybutane tape as recommended by panel manufacturer; field applied.
EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Verify that substrates are acceptable for installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
Examine alignment of structural steel and related supports, primary and secondary framing, solid sheathing, prior to installation
Verify wall openings, windows, doors, or louvers through walls are properly located.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
INSTALLATION
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations including approved shop drawings.
Form panel shape as indicated on Drawings, accurate in size, square, and free from distortion or defects.
Install flashing and trim true and in proper alignment.
Separate dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic action.
Use fasteners recommended by panel manufacturer; conceal fasteners wherever possible; cover and seal exposed fasteners.
Provide uniform, neat seams; provide sealant-type joint where indicated and form joints to conceal sealant.
Install sealants where indicated to clean dry surfaces only without skips or voids, to ensure weather tightness and integrity of the vapor barrier.
CLEANING
Replace damaged panels and other components of work, which cannot be repaired by finish touch-up or similar minor repair.
Wipe finished surfaces clean of any filings caused by drilling or cutting to prevent rust staining.
PROTECTION
Protect installed products until completion of project.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
