As a leader in architectural formliners, Spec Formliners has become the benchmark for quality among all other formliner manufacturers. Spec Formliners has mastered the techniques required to produce the largest, most complex designs with the most relief of any formliner ever made. From 35 foot Bass with 16 inch of relief, to texture panels as large as 14 foot by 40 foot bonded to plywood, Spec Formliners has done it all. If you can design it, we can build it!
Built from 20 years of artisan-quality experience, our form liner patterns reproduce naturally occurring textures and unique designs for architectural concrete. We often use real rock to make rock patterns, for instance, and unique skills to join panels together with near seamless match points.

EXECUTION
EXAMINATION
Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
Verify that field measurements, surfaces, substrates and conditions are as required, and ready to receive Work.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
PREPARATION
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
Prepare substrates using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions. Refer to manufacturer's Application Guide for proper procedures for preparing formliners.
Form Liner Preparation:
Verify lines and levels of formwork and form liner patterns are within allowable tolerances.
Clean liner before each use. Do not use damaged liner when continued use or repair would diminish the aesthetics of the work.
Spray form liners with Spec Release brand form release before each use and within the same day that concrete is placed. Take care that all sections, angles of the pattern are covered with the release agent.
Do not proceed with installation until substrates have been properly prepared and deviations from manufacturer's recommended tolerances are corrected. Commencement of installation constitutes acceptance of conditions.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
INSTALLATION
Comply with manufacturer's installation instructions. Refer to manufacturer's Application Guide for proper procedures for installing formliners.
Install formliners within manufacturer's recommended tolerances.
For applications where concrete temperatures will exceed 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) at the formliner face, reduce the temperature with methods as recommended by manufacturer.
For applications involving multiple formliners butted together in a horizontal fashion, press the edges of the formliner together tightly to stop concrete bleeding between the formliners.
MAINTENANCE OF REUSABLE FORMLINERS
For applications with reusable formliners, comply with requirements of paragraph Delivery Storage and Handling when handling and storing units between uses. Prevent matrix build-up on the formliner surface. Excess release agent shall be removed before the form and liner is put back into service.
CLEANING AND PROTECTION
Clean exposed surfaces. Touch up, refinish, or replace damaged components in a manner acceptable to Architect.
Protect installed products until completion of project.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
