Spring-Load Dowel (355)

Rubble Stone Wire Tie (398)

Wire tie anchor used to secure rubble stone veneers to back-up walls. Used with Heckmann's Rubble Stone Veneer Anchor system (#398-C L-Type Rubble clips and #398-J J-Hook Rod). Ideal for when horizontal mortar joints do not align, and a large amount of vertical adjustment is required.

The 398 wire tie is 3/16" diameter. welded rod prevents compression loads from damaging sheathing. Specify tie length.

L-Type Rubble Clips (398-C)

L-Type anchor used to secure rubble stone veneers to back-up walls. Used with Heckmann's Rubble Stone Veneer Anchor system (#398 Rubble Stone Wire Tie and #398-J J-Hook Rod). Ideal for when horizontal mortar joints do not align, and a large amount of vertical adjustment is required.

The 398-C Clip is 12 gauge x 2-3/4" wide. Specify the Length required. The J-Rod is lowered through the slots and require the 398 ties to be pre-loaded between the clips. Clips are typically spaced 16" x 16" or 16" x 24".

J-Hook Rod (398-J)

L-Type Seismic Veneer Anchor (360)

Used for attaching brick veneer to backups in seismic zones requiring a reinforcement wire in the exterior brick veneer. The corrugated end increases adhesion in the mortar joint.
(They can be used in non-seismic walls as regular sheet metal veneer anchors without the seismic wire in the exterior veneer wall. )

Raised tab in flat section allows for placement of Pencil Rod or Masonry Wall Reinforcement that allows for in plane horizontal and vertical movement of the masonry walls while restraining tension and compression.

Dovetail Rod Anchor (121) Part Number: 121

As a Partition Wall Stabilizing Anchor, the Dovetail Rod Anchor is Hotdip Galvanized After Fabrication and is used with a #421 plastic tube. When the block core is filled with grout, the tube allows for vertical deflection. The concrete slab above must have a cast-in-place dovetail anchor slot. Standard Rod when used as a Stabilizing Wall Anchor is 3/8" diameter x 7" long and is not threaded. The welded clip is12 gauge.

Catalog # 121-7H - Standard Hotdip Galvanized After Fabrication.

The #121 Dovetail Threaded Rod Anchor can also be used in veneer walls with concrete backups for bolting back to the backup wall.

Custom rod lengths and diameters are available in Type 304 or Type 316 Stainless Steel.

Pin Stabilizing Wall Anchor (419)

This anchor is installed by either welding the plate to a structural beam or fastening it to a concrete slab with expansion anchors. The plastic tube is grouted into the CMU cell.

Standard: 3/16" x 1-1/2" wide x 3" long plate with a welded 3/8" diameter x 6-3/4" rod. Two 5/16" diameter holes in the plate for attachment.

Standard size is boxed with the #421 Plastic Tube 5/8" od x 7-1/4" with a compressible filler at the end to prevent grout infiltration. Hot Dip Galvanized.

Plastic Tube for Stabilizing Anchor (421)

This plastic tube is used with #121 Dovetail Rod Anchor and the #419 Pin Stabilizing Anchor. The plastic tube has a foam filler on one end to prevent grout penetration. The rods placed into the tube and the tubes are grouted into the CMU. This allows for vertical deflection of the wall.

Cell Vents (85)

Cell vents are installed in the bottom vertical mortar joint of a brick veneer wall to allow moisture to vent out of a cavity wall. Cell vents are also installed at the top of the wall to allow ventilation in the cavity. They consist of many small adjacent passageways, which allow moisture to vent from the cavity to the exterior of the building while restricting ingress of insects. The cellular composition provides easy drainage for moisture along the full height of the head joint. Cell vents are UV-resistant and tested in conformance to ASTM D2240, D790B, D638 and D1238B.

Weep-Thru Mortar Deflector is designed to catch mortar droppings and allow masonry cavity drainage through the weep holes. It has a three dimensional geometric patterned core and is designed to be 10 inches (25.4 cm) high in the cavity wall.

The VUE™ handrail system is a post mounted glass system where the glass panels are held at the posts, not the top and bottom rails. This minimizes the number of horizontal rails in the system which maximizes visibility.

Unlike most post-captured glass railing systems on the market, this railing frame is made of anodized aluminum, not stainless steel, resulting in much lower cost-per-foot. Additional cost savings are created due to the fact that no holes are required in the glass as all glass panels are supported at the bottom.

In addition, the VUE system, which uses 3/8" glass, is also less costly compared to shoe mounted structural glass, which must use ½" glass to meet codes.

Post Mounted Glass Railing System

The QUAD™ railing system is a rectangular post mounted glass system where the glass panels are captured and held at the posts, rather than being mounted at the top and bottom rails as in other systems. Railing System for Glass

Hollaender's KLEAR™ railing system for glass offers architects and owners another option when specifying or designing glass railing systems. They provide two very desirable features:

This system uses the glass infill up to the 42" height requirement and does not have a top cap on the glass: The glass is held at the post—not top and bottom—thus minimizing the number of horizontal rails in the system and maximizing visibility.

Posts are attached with a grab rail or handrail at 36" above the walking surface on level, ramp, and stair railings.

While maintaining structural integrity, this glass railing with no top cap provides more visibility than competitive railing systems.

Aluminum and Stainless Steel Railing System

VISION™ railing system is available in both aluminum and stainless steel. The VISION system is designed with “in-line" clips that support the infill panel. Although the standard infill is glass, metal infills in stainless steel are available in wire mesh and perforated designs, with 304 SS as standard or 316 SS as an option. Acrylic and other custom infill materials are also available. Glass or other infill panels are retained by 4 rounded panel clips. Glass panels will have holes for the bottom 2 clips. ADA Compliant Handrail

Hollaender produces ADA compliant handrails, wall rails, and assist rails. Our aluminum component-based (non-welded) handrail systems are made of corrosion resistant aluminum and are easy-to-install. Railings can be shipped as either kits (less engineering and faster lead time) or as fully engineered and fabricated systems.  Handrail systems are available in clear, dark bronze, or black anodized finish. Aluminum component systems typically have a lower cost per linear foot than stainless steel systems.

All railings meet IBC and ADA codes, with 1 ½" IPS heavy wall posts and 1 ¼" or 1 ½" IPS assist rails. If UFAS approval is required, 1" IPS assist rails can be used.

Structural Glass Railing

The structural glass railing has an extruded aluminum shoe that is encased with cladding that can be either stainless steel or aluminum. Top caps or rails are available in round and U-channel forms in materials and finishes that match the cladding as well as the assist rail. Wood is a popular option.

Button Glass Railing

Button Glass Railing is an engineered railing system designed for side mounting to adequate structural mounting surface giving the impression of a “glass wall".

The glass railing, typically 42 inches high above the walking surface, is point or button mounted to stringer on level or stairs. Since the actual height of the glass above the button mounts is in the order of 48 to 52 inches, the glass must be structurally sound enough to meet code and be “comfortably safe". Due to the height, glass is either ¾" thick in monolithic or 13/16" thick in either PVB or SGP laminated.

Buttons are typically 7 inches apart in the vertical orientation, so stringers or mounting surfaces must be adequately sized to take this dimension.

The glass railing comes with stainless steel assist rail for stairs, and can have a variety of top caps, as well as using the top of the glass with no cap as an option.
